I love Castles, History and Archaeology, If I could have my time again I would train to be a Archaeologist!
I am a keen artist and traveller, I seek adventure however I am also disabled and a dog owner.

So I thought it would be a neat idea to have a blog that I could share some photos of my castle hunting adventures and basic info on these sites from a disabled, dog owning artist!

Car Park - Free
Walk up to it via a grass slope
No Staff free Site
No good on Wet days
Dogs Welcome
No Toilets
Plenty of places to sit
Nice Area
popular for family picnics

Tinagel Castle

Access is difficult and it's very hard going getting round the castle
Staff extremely Friendly
Not very good in the wet
Dogs Welcome on a lead at all times
Toilets
Plenty of places to sit
loads of interesting things to Sketch and photograph
So many area's to explore
Best Bit - it's all so magical!

St Cybi's Holy Well *FREE SITE*

You need to have your eyes peeled to find this site and then once parked you need guess which way it to get to the holy well, it is a bit of a walk too
Brilliant On Rainy Days
No Staff
Dogs allowed
No Toilets
No where really to rest or sit
very photographic, lovely to  sketch
Best Bit - There is something a bit special about this site, being there all alone was exceptional

Pennard Castle - FREE SITE

This is such a hard castle to get to and it was beyond me although I did have a good go!
You have to pay for parking in a field then a good un even hike up and down hills
Photos taken by my carer I viewed it from below
No Staff Free Site
Not Ideal in the wet
Dogs ok
No Toilets
No seating or resting area's
Breath taking views over Three Cliffs Bay
Best Bit - The Views and arch way

Access very good, carpark near and level

A good one for the Wet

Toilets
Plenty of places to sit
No much to see really
Best Bit - Interesting part of Hisitory
Grab your self some fish n' chips in deal, they are excellent

Pentre Ifan - FREE SITE

Access good with path and gates
Off road parking and then walk to site
no staff free site
Semi Okay in the Wet
Dogs Welcome
No Toilets
Plenty of places to sit
Awesome to Sketch and photograph
Brilliant energy and vibe
Best Bit - The setting!

St Govan's *FREE SITE*

You have to cross MOD land to get to this site, so if they are firing access is closed
car parking is up the top and then you have to walk down many steps to get to the chapel
Not ideal for rainy days
Dogs allowed
No toilets - nearest is in bosherton where you can also get the most amazing cream tea's
couple of benches at the top
Best Bit - The lovely legend

Romantic Venue
Used mainly for weddings

Roman Baths Of Bath

Access Good Parking not very close
It's very exspensive to get in
The staff see so many people that they really are not that interested
good solution for a wet day
Guide Dogs only
Toliets
Seats and resting area's
Cafe
Great place but geared for the commercial tourist
Best Bit - So much history in one place!

Access Brilliant
Parking is difficult as you need to park on the main road
no where to hide in the wet
Dogs Welcome
No Toilets
No where to Sit
Nice to sketch
Place has a magical feeling
Best Bit - It's a little gem
